Good News Due To The Massive 2021 JAMB Failure See This Years JAMB Cut-Off Mark For Universities

Although it's really hard to admit it but the fact is, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, won't reduce its cut-off mark due to the enormous percentage of failure this year.

The UTME which is still ongoing and is slated to end by July 3, started on June 19, and some results have since been released.

The results were so poor that parents were even complaining. Candidates whose results are already out, suggested there was an error from the body which made most of them get a 'different' score from their original score.

The JAMB cut-off mark for Universities last year was 160 and it is very certain that this year, they are not going to go below it even after mass failure and the reasons are:

1. Going below this score will say a lot of bad things about the country and it will really give neighbouring countries a clear impression that our educational system is actually degrading.

So, if your dream is to go to the University, I'll advise you to try harder next year or try seeking advise from experienced tutors on how to go about it.

2. I'm not trying to sound bad but this mass failure will create a balance in our education and at the same time affect us significantly next year. How? Due to the pandemic and strike we experienced last year, we currently have some admitted students sitting at home just because the current year 1 students are still in school (although some schools have said they will just merge all of them as year 1 students).

Therefore, these results surely means that few people will be seeking admission into the University, thereby creating a little balance.

The latter significant effect is that, we will be having more people registering for the exam next year and I'm giving an estimate of 2.5 million people taking this exam next year.

3. Another obvious reason is that, the board will surely make more money next year because more people will write next year. That's just it. So, you see, if you know you didn't do well this year and you won't be considering going to a college of education or Polytechnic, then I will strongly advise you to prepare harder next year and back it up with prayers because there will be more competitors.
