People are confused on what to do as they don't have original details about the 2021 UTME, in this article, I will give you the basic things you need to know about this year's Jamb and how you can avoid making mistakes when registering for it.

1. NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER IS COMPULSORY

You must have a National Identification Number (NIN) before you can register for this year's Jamb.

 2. REGISTRATION DATE

Recall that JAMB had earlier announced the 2021 UTME registration date, as the registration portal had opened from the 8th of April, 2021 to the 15th of May, 2021.

Jamb, however, disclosed that the period given for the sales of form for this year’s UTME won't be extended.

3. OPTIONAL MOCK AND UTME EXAM DATES

The mock examination which is not compulsory for candidates – will take place from Thursday, 8th April to Saturday, 15th May 2021, the 2021 UTME is billed to hold from Saturday, 5th to Saturday, 19th June, 2021.

4. REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee for the 2021 UTME is N3,500 and N500 for the recommended Novel (The Life Changer).

Students also make mistakes when registering for the exam so to avoid making these mistakes, JAMB candidates are to note the following:

5. Make sure you do your registration only at an Accredited JAMB CBT Registration Centre.

6. Make sure you are there with the person helping you with the registration at an accredited centre.

That way, you can easily see when they make a mistake and point it out for correction.

7. Ensure you fill the form carefully and go through every detail before you submit it.

8. You must know the available courses in a school as well as the required O’level and UTME Subject combinations, you can check Jamb Brochure for that.
