School Resumption: Two Things That Might Affect This Year's WAEC Exams

School Resumption: Two Things That Might Affect This Year's WAEC Exams

The west African examination council WAEC who usually holds their exams between the month of may/June is now not going to be holding anytime soon due to the covid-19 outbreak.

There has been lot's of controversies that might effect the WAEC Exams from holding this year.

In Nigeria, as markets and other daily activities has been Reopened, Nigerians are now highly anticipating on the Resumption of schools. But I'm afriad that if schools are not reopened on time, that means that Waec examination might be postponed till next year.

Two things that might affect Waec examinations from holding this year;

1. If there is a daily highly increase on covid-19 cases across the country. The Federal government of Nigeria cannot approve Resumption of schools if the covid-19 cases keeps on increasing on a daily basis.

Reason is because, it is going to be of great risk to expose students to covid-19.

2. If schools are not Reopened by next week. Normally Waec students are supposed to be preparing and doing revisions ahead of their WAEC exams, but if schools are not Reopened by next week it means that it won't be possible for the exams to hold or even if it is going to be possible then the exams may now be extended to August, so that Waec Candidates can catch up some things for their exams.
