School Reopening: Nigerian States That Have Announced Their Dates.



The Federal Government of Nigeria on thursday september 3rd, gave the go ahead for school reopening, even tho some states had earlier annouced date for reopening of schools prior to that day.

The following States have so far announced date for resumption;

Lagos - Sept 14


Kogi - Sept 14

Osun - Sept 21

Delta - Sept 21


Borno - Sept 14


Kebbi - Sept 21

Anambra - Sept 7(primary and secondary school)

Oyo - Sept 21( primary and secondary school)

Ogun - Sept 21

The Ogun State Government becomes the latest to announce for reopening of schools In the state.

The announcement was made yesterday by the Cheif Press Secretary to the State. Ogun which has the highest number of institutions in Nigeria says it is ready for full reopening of schools as measures are put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19.


With this development, we await more state announcement this week.
