WASSCE: See What FEDERAL GOVERNMENT Said About The Examination |
The federal government has reversed its decision to reopen schools.
It has also withdrawn students from the West African Senior Certificate Examinations scheduled for August 5 and September 5.
But minister for education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba has announced that the West African council has fixed the commencement of the examination for August 5.
Speaking with State house correspondents at the end of a federal government meeting enforce by president Mohammadu Buhari, Adamu Adamu, minister of education, said all schools that are under the control of the federal government will not participate in the examination.
He also appeal to State governments who have agreed to reopen schools to reconsider the action due to the covid-19 situation. He also said "He thinks it's not safe, Lets protect our children".
Because of the pandemic. Adamu Adamu appealed to WAEC to look into the matter and re-shedule the examination.
What do you think about the WAEC, should the federal government extend the date for the safety of students??
