WAEC 2020 This Year Would Be Different From Previous Ones, See Why

The Federal Government has announced that the West African Examination Council would be releasing a new set of timetable for the 2020 examination.

According to the minister of State For Education, Emeka Nwajiuba who made the announcement at the Presidential task force press briefing in Abuja, the exams would take place between August 4 through September 5.

This is barely one month from this day. A lot of candidates are now at pressure to cover up so much giving the fact that they did not study during the stay at home.

This year's examination will certainly be different from the previous ones. Why is that?

First of all, let's consider the current pandemic scourging the world. The covid19 has made it impossible for there to be a gathering as the risk is higher once there is a crowd.

In that case, the social distancing mechanism would be implemented in this exam strictly. It would be unlike previous ones where students can sit closely as they so please. This time each student will be sitting distantly from the other.

Also from what is stated above, the duration of the exam will just be one month. In that case, the interval between each exam might not be as much as previous ones. This means that you have so much to do in little time frame. That is why you need to burn the mid night candle now.

Mr Emeka Nwajiuba also added that there would be compulsory wearing off face masks. In that case, coupled with the social distance there would be no opportunity for candidates to ask fellow candidates questions.

This year's exam will certainly be different from the others.
