WAEC 2020: Panic As JAMB Set To Start Admission Process From August 21

WAEC 2020: Panic As JAMB Set To Start Admission Process From August 21

The Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said 2020 admission process will start on August 21, that is the good news for those students who has their O'Level results ready be it WAEC or NECO.

Federal Government are still on the dilemma on if to cancel 2020 WAEC examination or not, the examination which should have been conducted in April and May 2020, this is worrisome for students who have not written their O'Level result.

WAEC candidates are panicking, If we can recall, JAMB has already said that 1.3 million UTME Candidates May Lose Their Admission Over Delayed WAEC, NECO exams. JAMB is talking about candidates who used awaiting results to sit the 2020 UTME. JAMB has also fixed cut -off marks for admission into polytechnics and universities to 120 and 160 respectively.
The Federal Government should make a quick decision, it is either they postpone JAMB admission process or they should fix a date for WAEC examination as soon as possible.

No one is talking about NECO for now but it is also important, this is for candidates who are not interested in WAEC and apply for NECO, if WAEC examination is concluded as soon as possible those who apply for NECO will have hope.

Nigeria will be meeting with four other countries doing WAEC to compromise on the date for WAEC because the date that was announced recently causes controversy most especially by parents, I also wrote an article on the reason why the West African Examination Council must not rush the WAEC timetable for 2020.

I am also advising those who already have their O'Level result will them to go and upload it on their CAPS immediately as soon as possible, if you've upload it during JAMB registration, please go and confirm on JAMB portal if it is their, as an educational consultant and blogger those who uploaded it during registration are urge to reupload.
