WAEC 2020 To Start At The Scheduled Date As Assembly Members Calls On The President.

The Lawmakers on Tuesday during the plenary meeting have called out to the President to reconsider the decision that the Minister of Education detailed recently over the waec examination concerning unit school students, as they requested that both Nigerian Unity School students should sit for the Exam.

They said that it will be threatening issue to Nigeria as most foreign investors will breif this situation that Nigeria was unable to control the spread of the virus and however cancelled a very important exam taken by many nations in West Africa.

However, the Assembly members has observed that it will not be a good thing that Nigerian students did not partake in the 2020 WAEC examination.

And also they used this medium to tell all schools and parents who are ready to let there children to come out and sit for this exam should start preparing the students from now and the scheduled date for this exam remain the same as it will start on the 4 of August to 5 of September 2020.

The board mentioned that this exam will be written safely only if the authorities are ready to guide and enforce the Protocols for writing this exam as they urged the Minister of Education to immediately give out the Protocols for the said examination.

So far, they are now waiting for the response of this call from the federal authorities regarding this motion.
