School Resumption: FG Finally Accepts Re-opening of Schools Nationwide

So many people have been complaining about the total lockdown of schools, places of worship, businesses Nationwide. The cases of covid-19 in Nigeria is increasing Rapidly day by day. 

It is going about three ( 3 ) months since the total closure of schools accross all states in the country.

The Federal government ordered total lockdown of schools Nationwide as a preventive measures to curtail the spread of the deadly virus ( Covid-19 ).

Federal Government accept Resumption of Academic Activities

The Federal Government has approved safe reopening of schools nationwide. only graduating students will resume.

Here are the list of students the Federal government allowed to re-open:

1) Primary six ( common entrance student )

2) Jss 3 student ( junior waec candidate )

3) SSS 3 student ( senior waec candidate )

4) final year student in all univerties are allowed to re-open Nationwide.

5) NECO candidate

6) NABTEB candidate

This was disclosed by the chairman of the Presidential Task Force, Boss Mustapha, at the daily briefing of the task force in Abuja on Monday.

According to him, the reopening of schools was meant to allow students in graduating classes especially 2020 WAEC, NECO and NABTEB candidates to resume preparation for examinations.

Note: No official date has been announced for the Reopening of schools Nationwide.

Boss mustapha disclosed that the latest developments were contained in the task force’s fifth interim report which was submitted to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), earlier in the day.

The Federal Government also stated that all primary schools (with exception of Primary 6 pupils) and daycare centres across the Federation remained closed.
