The West African Examination Council has finally revealed it examination will commence in the month of August and end in September.
As we a know the West African Examination Council is an examination board which was established by the law to determine the examination required in the public interest in the English speaking West African countries, in conducting the examinations and to award certificates comparable to the of equivalent examining authorities internationally.
Recall that the Federal Government instructed the total lockdown of schools and some other activities in the country as a means to curb the outbreak of the deadly virus, coronavirus.
This outbreak had been since March and had halt some activities in the country.
More so, making reference to the effect done on the candidates who are to sit for the West African Examination Council (WAEC), this year, the outbreak had done no good than harm to them as they are unable to prepare properly for the examination, as well as know the exact date to Commence the examination nor have a the time table, as there had been a persistent increase in the COVID-19 novel.
It is a great news for the 2020 WAEC candidates as the board has finally announced the date for the commencement of the examination.
According to the board, modalities will be followed as regards the guide given out by the Nigeria Centre of Disease Control (NCDC), so as to prevent the further spread of the deadly pandemic and to ensure maximum safety for the students.
These candidates are to note the following;
1. The candidates are to note that the time table for the examination will be released in the second week of the month July, I.e next week.
2. Also, the results as regard the examination will be released on the 45th day after th last paper has been written.
3. The five relevant countries, who are to take the examination will commence the examination at the same time.
4. There will be a compulsory mandate of the use of face masks.
5. Candidates are to arrived at their venues at at least, 1 hour before their papers.
