| 2020 JAMB Opens Portal For Change Of Course And Institution |
This is a good news for all those who wrote jamb this year and also for those that applied for direct entry.
The Joint Admission And Matriculation Board JAMB has announced to the public and all those who registered for JAMB that it has opened its portal for correction of data.
What this means is that for those people that made one mistake or another during the course of registration can now visit the JAMB site and have their mistakes corrected.
This can be done by the candidate if he or she is conversant with computers but it is always advisable to go to a cyber Cafe in order to avoid more mistakes. Please take note of the following.
Names Correction (Correction can only be done once)
Date of Birth Correction (Correction can only be done once)
Passport Correction (Correction can only be done once)
Gender Correction (Correction can only be done once)
State/LGA Correction (Correction can only be done once)
Profile Correction (Correction can only be done once)
A'Level Correction (Correction can only be done once)
Choice of Institution/Course Correction (Correction can only be done twice with separate payment
Some ducuments may be required for the correction and you are going to pay a certain amount depending on the type of correction you are making.
Below is the list of all the possible corrections that can be made and the prices you are going to pay and also the necessary ducuments required.
1. Change of course or institution
You can apply to change your course or institution.
This costs #2,500
2. change of name
You can change your surname, first name etc. You may need some ducuments like birth certificate.
The price is #2,500
3. change of state/local government area
You may require ducuments like local government identification.
The price is #2,500
4. change of gender
You can correct your gender either from male to female or vice versa.
This costs #2,500
5. correction of date of birth
You need a birth certificate or an affidavit to do change of birth
